Hidden in the far reaches of Kumaon, the Adi Kailash & Om Parvat trek combines raw Himalayan adventure with cultural depth. The route follows the emerald Kali River to Dharchula, climbs through quiet frontier valleys, and passes through villages like Gunji, Kuti, and Nabhi, where carved wooden homes and smoky kitchens welcome travelers.
At Jolingkong, a mirror-like high-altitude lake reflects the snow-covered Adi Kailash, often called “Chhota Kailash” for its striking resemblance to its Tibetan counterpart. A day later, trekkers stand before Om Parvat, where fresh snow forms a rare natural “ॐ” pattern on the dark rock face — a breathtaking spectacle found only in this corner of the Himalayas.
This is not a race to a summit but a slow immersion into landscapes, mountain life, and the frontier spirit of Uttarakhand. Whether you’re drawn by big skies, remote trails, or the stillness only high mountains can offer, this trek delivers an unforgettable experience wrapped in crisp alpine air and Kumaoni hospitality.
