Itineraries
Day 1
Dehradun To Sankri (200Km)
Your Kedarkantha adventure begins early in the morning as the group assembles at Dehradun Railway Station at 6:30 AM. After a short introduction and briefing, we start our scenic drive toward Sankri, the base camp for the Kedarkantha Trek. The 200 km journey takes around 8–9 hours, winding through the beautiful valleys of the Yamuna and Tons Rivers.
As you pass through picturesque villages and pine forests, you’ll get your first taste of the Himalayas’ raw charm. You’ll arrive at Sankri by evening (around 5:00 PM), where you’ll check into a cozy guesthouse or homestay on a sharing basis. Sankri is a charming mountain village and serves as a base for several treks.
Local shops offer gear rental (jackets, gloves, caps, trekking poles, etc.), but we strongly recommend bringing all your essential items beforehand. After a hearty dinner, relax and enjoy a peaceful night in the mountains.
